Worthless is a short film about a successful young actor named Cody Ryan. Cody has a fantastic life on the surface... but underneath, he is struggling with a past trauma that seems to be catching up to him. Everyone sees Cody as the life of the party. In fact, he is the life of the party! His girlfriend(s) are always the most beautiful girl in the world (at least on IG). But when the lights go down and no one is around, Cody is often wrought with sadness. Situationally, his lows are tied to some form of disappointment. For example; a break-up, a job loss, a disappointing grade or mark, a lack of energy due to excursion (willful or otherwise), and/or an inability to perform in any usual way. However, there are times when bouts of sadness comes from nowhere at all.

“Out of Time” is a story about a 30’ something man with a pleasant yet ordinary life who comes face to face with the reality that there is only so much time allotted to us all. After suffering a natural medical emergency with no one around to help, he finds himself in reflection on a life that is clearly coming to an end…way too soon.

Kenny Carter-Glensy (KCG) is a leading force in TV and film production, known for his operational skill and creative vision. Since 1997, he has worked on major live events like The Oscars, The SAG Awards, and The Grammys, playing a key role in creating top-tier productions.

Kenny's short film "Worthless" (2022) was selected for the LA Shorts Film Festival, following his successful debut short, "Out of Time" (2019). He also worked as a Story Editor on "The Last Hope" (Beyond the Beach), a notable documentary.
